Commissioner Richard Hughes, Portsmouth Yard. Receipt of letter that Thomas Pain, employed in bringing faggots for the Yard and the inhabitants of Portsmouth Town report that in the late storm, his vessel foundered in the Channel between Fawley and Leap but has been unable to weigh her. He has asked for the assistance of two of the Hoys in the Harbour. Will provide them with a sufficient number of men. Yesterday, the Lyon Hoy was got off. Today, the Wasp Sloop sailed from Spithead and the Officers have been ordered to take the Lyon Hoy into dock for a report
