Copy of Alfred Power's report to Poor Law Commission of conduct of local constables in the recent disturbances in Bradford, enclosing: Copy of letter dated 4 November 1837 (ff 370 and 373) from Mr Thompson to Mr Power about the use and expenses of the police constables from London enclosing: Another letter, dated 8 November 1837, from Matthew Thompson to Mr Power reporting the temper of the town. Power's reply, dated 9 November 1837, on reverse anticipating further disturbances; considers use of the military; local magistrates should decide.
