Nature of request: Response to the King's writ requesting information concerning the arrest of William de Offeton (SC 8/145/7230), stating that he was captured in Berkshire by Thomas de Neuwebiggynge, clerk, for knowingly harbouring his brother, Roger de Offeton, who had been with Roger de Mortimer of Wigmore who escaped from the Tower of London, and handed over to the Sheriffs of London, to be kept safely until they had further instructions from the King.
Nature of endorsement: [Response to SC 8/145/7229] He is to sue before the justices appointed to hold pleas before the King.
