Description: |
The common council of Dax to Henry III: they send Hispaniolus, a knight, and A. R., a burgess, with a complaint that the burgesses of Bayonne unjustly prohibited them from entering their town; the burgesses refuse to accept settlement of the dispute made before either the vicomte of Tartas and Rustan de Solers, a burgess of Bordeaux, or Geoffrey de Nevill, chamberlain and seneschal of Gascony; and the vicomte of BĂ©arn refused to help. They beg letters of quittance and liberty as granted to them by the late kings Richard and John. |
