Petitioners: Reginald de Grey of Ruthin.
Name(s): de Grey, Reginald
Addressees: King and the lords of parliament.
Nature of request: Grey states that his grandfather was granted the castle of Ruthin, the cantref of Dyffryn Clwyd and the lands that were Lacy's in Tegeingl cantref. He is now maliciously challenged in an inquisition before de la Pole by Welsh people that his grandfather acquired the lands wrongfully by colour of his office as justice of Chester. He requests that an end is put to this business by right and reason for the king and for his inheritance.
