Nature of endorsement: Coram rege.He is to sue before the Steward, the Keeper of the Wardrobe and the King's confessor, who have been appointed etc., that they should advise themselves about his suffering and about the time he has been in difficulties: and they are further to inform the King.

Note: Dated on the guard to '? c. 1324' with no further explanation. This would certainly seem to fit the hand and the French endorsement, but there does not seem to be much evidence to connect all the petitions transcribed in PRO 31/7/99 with this year.The wording of SC 8/95/4720, both petition and endorsement, is very similar.
