Description:

Harrington to Cumberland: as soon as he receives the king orders for the reduction of the army in Ireland he will put them into effect, and meantime give orders for the five battalions coming to Ireland. The establishment for Ireland may never exceed 12,000 men. He will send a scheme of barracks for the forces expected, and meantime encloses a list of the locations of troops already in Ireland [SP 87/25/109]. Dated (OS) at Bath. ff. 223, 224
