Bedford to Cumberland, enclosing papers from the lords of the admiralty on the procurement of transports. Those for Ireland and Scotland will be ready that week. Cumberland is requested to find a person in the army to accompany the earl of Sussex to Paris. [Henry] Pelham has ordered a credit of £1,000 for each of them [as hostages to France for the delivery of Cape Breton]. Dated (OS) at Whitehall. ff. 88, 89
