Description:

Cumberland to Bedford: the king has ordered him to prepare everything for the return of his British and subsidiary troops. He has written to the plenipotentiaries at Aix [SP 87/26/44] that if the French plenipotentiaries will agree to withdraw their troops, except for garrisons, the king will immediately order his troops home. He has informed the prince of Orange. He encloses a copy of the plan of the future establishment of the army [SP 87/26/45, 46]. The regiments intended to garrison Gibraltar and Port Mahon will be sent first to England. He proposes to send the five regiments intended for Ireland there directly. He requests a copy of the treaty for the 6,000 Hessians. Dated at headquarters at Eindhoven. ff. 65, 66
