Cumberland to Newcastle: he has forwarded the dispatch to Sandwich, adding his opinion that [Britain] should be paid the expense of enemy seamen prisoners in her ports. He will have Colonel Cockayne draw up some hints for Sandwich. He encloses a dispatch from Sandwich with a letter from Lord Louis Drummond. He has had no orders from the king in Hanover. Dated at headquarters at Nistelrode. PS. recommending the release of two French land officers. ff. 15, 16 |
