Petitioners: Robert Martyn of Yeovilton.

Nature of request: Martyn requests remedy for he gave custody of his lands whilst he was in the war of the king in Scotland to his steward who falsely eloped with his wife to Rockbourne, and with force and arms with a great number of men took and carried away his chattels. Croucheston and Martyn's wife have jointly brought a writ of novel disseisin against Martyn intending to prove that she was not his wife without making a divorce between Martyn and his wife.
