William, prince of Orange to Cumberland, enclosing a letter he has just received, which will explain matters more fully and will send an officer next day for the same purpose. He urges him to come to the aid of the place now being besieged, which is mor important than Maastricht. Dispositions for the defence of Bergen op Zoom. He is tempted to go there in person. Dated at The Hague. ff. 54-56
