Key to roads, railways. Printed by Geographical Section, General Staff, 1945. Red overprinted title: 'Evacuation of Formations and Units. Period 1 Dec. 1947 - 1 Feb. 1948'. Coloured overprints indicate phases of plan of withdrawal of British forces and location of formations still in Palestine. Explanation of overprints. To illustrate report by the Official Committee on Palestine, entitled 'Withdrawal from Palestine Progress Report No. 2' (Cabinet Defence Committee paper DO (48) 20, of 23 February 1948). MFQ 1/1393/3 is a northward continuation.
