Marlborough to Boyle: he has returned from Brussels to Beirlegem, with his right flank extending to Oudenaarde. The 56,000 crowns due to the king of Prussia [Frederick I] may be withheld a little as an inducement to keeping his troops in Italy. Prince Eugene expects the citadel of Lille to fall within a week.
