Marlborough to Boyle: interception of their correspondence. The duke of Bavaria's laying siege to Brussels has obliged him to force the passage of the Scheldt in two places. Lieutenant General de Hautefort has abandoned Oudenaarde with the loss of 1,000 prisoners and part of his baggage. Prince Eugene will return to the siege of the citadel of Lille while Marlborough attempts to raise the siege of Brussels by the elector of Bavaria. Death of Prince George of Denmark.
