Marlborough to the earl of Sunderland: the action with de la Motte was greater than it appeared, and the enemy suffered serious losses. The king of Prussia [Frederick I]'s minister has informed him that he may recall his troops from Italy. Marlborough encloses the answer he gave and what the minister has written to court [SP 87/3/93]. The earl of Raby is to be informed of this. Dated at camp at Roncq.
