States general of the united provinces to Marlborough: having been informed by the duke of Savoy that it may be necessary to separate the German infantry from cavalry because of difficulties with forage when crossing the Alps, [the states] have resolved to send the generals commanding the orders contained in the enclosed resolution [SP 87/2/284], and invite Marlborough to do likewise.
