Title: Ministry of Technology and successors: Fuel and Nationalised Industry Policy Division and successors: Registered Files (FJ Series)
Description:

This series contains registered files of successive divisions of the Ministry of Technology and Department of Trade and Industry concerned with appointment, salary and superannuation questions affecting members of boards of nationalised industries and other public bodies. Subjects covered include appointments to the boards of nationalised industries and the UK Atomic Energy Authority, and the effect of recommendations of the National Board for Prices and Incomes on salaries of public board executives. Some files from the Ministry of Power have been re-registered into this series.

Date: 1967-1984
Arrangement:

The FJ series was established in the FNI Division of Mintech in 1970 following the absorption of the Ministry of Power into Mintech. There was some re-registration from the ESTAB series administered by the former Ministry of Power. In 1974, there is evidence of further re-registration, this time from the FJ into the EST series established by the Department of Energy.
