When the Nature Conservancy Council was created in 1973 it established a programme of commissioned research relevant to nature conservation. The programme was the responsibility of the Advisory Committee on Science and master copies of reports, which form this series, were held by the Chief Scientist's Team (later Directorate) which acted as Secretariat to the Committee. |
