Defendants: Thomas Cuffe Adams (since deceased) Alethea Hale, Arthur Warne Weston, Charles Yardley (dismissed) and William Hale (dismissed).

Amendments: Amended by order 1869. Isaac Sumsion, Fred Harry Sumsion, Annie Louisa Sumsion, Eliza Sumsion, Charles Henry Sumsion, William Sumsion, Isaac Sumsion the younger and Blanche Amelia Sumsion infants added defendants. Order to carry on proceedings 1878. Plaintiffs: Samuel Rogers and George Samuel Brown and Fred Harry Sumsion, Annie Louisa Sumsion, Eliza Sumsion, Charles Henry Sumsion, William Sumsion, Isaac Sumsion the younger and Blanche Amelia Sumsion infants by Joseph Laurence their next friend. Defendants: Mary Christina Dyke widow added. Order to carry on 1900. Isaac Sumsion the elder, James Charles Welch and John Banks as trustees etc, Sarah Jane Hale spinster, William Hale and Thomas Hale, the devisees and residuary legatees under the will of the late defendant Alethea Hale the said William Hale being also her personal representative added as defendants.
