Folio 91: St. Paul to Rochford. He encloses plans of Dunkirk, also f.97, enabling him to prove the illegality of the repairs. He reports minor items of activity at Brest and Rochefort and further information about the disease among horned cattle. There are still some protests at the price of bread. Maurepas is unlikely to retire and is in high favour with the king. He refers to the case of miss Plunkett [see f.63]. Date and place: 1775 June 21 Paris. |
