This series contains registered files created by the Medical Research Committee and its successor, the Medical Research Council.

Topics covered by these files are very wide and include reports on various research projects (for example into the incidence and causes of specific diseases and on such diverse subjects as lighting in schools and the work place and nutrition in African countries) carried out on behalf of the Committee and Council, the organisation of the research centres and units administered or financed by the Council, including the National Institute for Medical Research, details of MRC input to a number of committees inquiring into medical matters; and matters relating to the administration of the Committee/Council itself.

From 1993 Medical Research Council
