Description:

2862 (Light Anti-Aircraft) Squadron RAF Regiment. Formed in Tunisia in June 1943, then moved to Sicily and mainland Italy and based at various locations including Trigno. Reappeared in the UK in August 1944 within 23 Group and based at Chipping Norton (Oxfordshire). Moved around France and Belgium from January 1945 and based at Dunkirk, Coxyde and other locations. Moved to Germany in April 1945 and based at various locations including Buckeburg and Jever. Disbanded at Delmenhorst on 31 March 1946
