Until the end of 1967 the numbered papers were allotted their numbers according to the committee, panel, group or working party that issued them. Pieces 1-46 are arranged by year, and within each year alphabetically by body. From January 1968 the numbering system was simplified so that each paper carried a unique SC reference: thus SC 68/1 was the first Schools Council numbered paper issued in 1968. The order of the list from piece 47 onwards is dictated by that system. |
