Surveyed and drawn by Quartermaster Sergeant, J S Barnfather, Royal Engineers; completed by Lance Corporal R D Meldrum, Royal Engineers, 4 October 1903; signed by Major [?]Downing-Hepenstal, Royal Engineers, officer-in-charge of the Drawing Office, and by Colonel Brown, on the Staff Commanding the Royal Engineers in China, 5 November 1903. Inset: site map, showing arcs of fire; scale: 4 feet to 1 mile [1:1,320]; compass indicator. A map of the surrounding area, cut from an unidentified Admiralty chart and with manuscript colouring added, is affixed to the face of the sheet; scale: 2 inches to 1 mile [1:31,680].
