Manuscript prize appeal No 1117, from the Vice-Admiralty Court of the Bahamas, filed in 1798.

Captured ship: Periphas (master William Beadle).

Nationality: American.

History: taken before August 1797 by the privateer Scourge of Regicides (John Moore Cockburn commanding), and brought into New Providence [Bahamas].

Appellant: the master and William Alexander, John Knox merchants of New Providence for the ship on behalf of Messrs Richard Yeates and George Pollock merchants of New York; and for the cargo on their own behalf:

Respondent: the captor.
