Catalogue description Duchy of Lancaster: Deeds, Series LS

This series is made up of deeds accumulated by the Duchy of Lancaster which were separated from the main series in DL 25 on account of their fine seals.

A number of deeds are printed in full in Early Yorkshire Charters, iii, ed William Farrer (Edinburgh, 1916). Others are printed in Documents Illustrative of the Social and Economic History of the Danelaw, ed F M Stenton (Records of Social and Economic History, v, 1920).
