Catalogue description Civil Service Commission: Abstracts

A series of volumes containing brief information and conditions for entry attaching to competitions, normally published once or twice a year.

The Abstracts were also known as follows:

• Limits of Age and Schemes, 1855-1874;
• Limits of Age and Subjects, 1875-1890;
• Rules and Regulations respecting examinations, 1891-1920;
• Civil Service Examinations, 1921-1939;
• Abstract of Rules respecting situations filled by nomination, 1949.

No copies were printed for 1870-1871, 1893-1894, 1914, 1917, 1920-1925, 1928, 1932, 1935, 1938, 1940-1948.
