Plaintiffs: Ralph Bates esq, of Hallihill, Northumberland, Henry Colt esq of London.

Defendants: Robert Delavell gent, of Durham, Durham.

Subject: the Letters Patent granted to the plaintiff and defendant by king Charles II, for the parties to receive certain profits had only the defendant's name inserted and in trust only for the plaintiff. The defendant would not have this changed without a decree from Chancery. The parties received the profits from the goods and chattels of persons attainted for petty treason, murder, felony and fugitive felons and other profits arising from the administration of the law and of the fairs and markets: property in Raby, Durham; Langleydale, Durham; Bolam, Durham; Shotton, Durham; Cockfield, Durham; Summerhouse, Durham; Barnard Castle, Durham; Westwick, Durham; Gainford, Durham; Piercebridge, Durham; Headlam, Durham; Newsham, Durham; Middleton in Teesdale, Durham; Eggleston, Durham; Longnewton, Durham and Staindrop, Durham.
