The Commission of enquiry into disturbances in the Gold Coast was appointed in March 1948 under the chairmanship of Aiken Watson, to enquire into the disturbances which occured in the Gold Coast in February and March 1948. The terms of reference were as follows:- "To enquire into and report on the recent disturbances in the Gold Coast and their underlying causes; and to make recommendations on any matter arising from the enquiry."
