Obligation of William le Melkere, citizen of London, to the prior and convent of Holy Trinity, London, to build on some vacant ground he holds of them, by the messuage that was Hugh de estchepe's, within the present year, so that the canons may distrain on the buildings for 6s. yearly rent due for the said land. If not, they may distrain for that sum on all his shops in Eastcheap. Witnesses:- Ralph Hardel, Mayor of London, and others (named). Middx. Feast of St. Alphege, A. D. 1257
