Description:

Grant by William de Reimes to Waleram son of Meill,' of land beginning from the great way from London and Edgware, by the land of Adam son of Randulf to that of Robert de Stanmore, thence to the aqueduct, and by that to the land that belonged to Nigel, and ascending thence to the aforsaid way, and one hide towards the wood between the St. Albans and Watford Roads; to be held by the service of the fifth part of a knight's fee, to be performed "per denarios" in the vill of Edgware, so that the grantor and his heirs cannot carry Waleram or his heirs into the army or otherwise vex them for the said service. For the grant Waleram gives him 5 ells "de viridi," his wife wife Sara a cloak worth 16s., and a tunic.
