Catalogue description Colonial Office and predecessors: Confidential General and Confidential Original Correspondence

This series is mainly composed of secret despatches and telegrams withheld from the various Colony and subject and general series of original correspondence (otherwise in Correspondence with the colonies, entry books and registers of correspondence) at the time when they were bound up, but now declassified. The series also includes 39 volumes of papers relating to the Uganda Railway; and some unregistered correspondence.
