Description:

Indenture between Julian Morgan of Farnham, Surrey, widow of William Morgan, esquire, late of Chilworth, on the one part, and Sir John Morgan of Chilworth, knight, his executors, administrators or assigns, on the other part. Julian grants to lease and farm to Sir John Morgan, her two mills - one a fulling mill and the other a corn mill - in the parish of St Martha on the Hill, Surrey, will all her houses, buildings, lands, tenements, mill wheels, mill stones, going gears, troughs, waters, water courses, utensils and implements belonging to the said mills, lately in the tenure and occupation of Stere and Hunt. The mills to be held by Morgan from the feast of St John the Baptist last for fifty years (if Julian shall live that long), for £12 to be paid in equal portions at Michaelmas, Christmas, Lady Day, and the feast of St John the Baptist (24 June). Morgan shall be discharged of all Julian's rents or payments claimed on the mills, and he shall not be required to repair and maintain the mills by force of this indenture.
