Description:

Indenture between Sir Owen Hopton, lieutenant of the Tower of London, Arthur Hopton of Charterhouse, Somerset, esquire, his son and heir, and Owen Tasburgh of Barsham, Suffolk, gentleman, on the first part and Edmund Hall of Greatford, Lincolnshire, gentleman, and William Roberts of the Inner Temple, London, gentleman, on the second part, recording that a fine shall be levied on the manors of Blythburgh, Westwood, Walberswick, Hinton, Westhall and Thorington, with appurtenances and lands and tenements in Blythburgh, Walberswick, Hinton, Westleton, Darsham, Thorington, Wenhaston, Westhall and elsewhere in Suffolk, and Edmund Hall and William Roberts shall be seized of said manors to sole only use of Arthur Hopton.

Witnesses: Richard Webbe, Thomas Smyth and John Tailor.
