Title: Property Services Agency and predecessors: South West Region: Registered Files and Papers
Description:

Case files of the South West region office of the Property Services Agency on works designed to preserve, restore or improve the condition of government properties and offices in the region.

The series includes some of the records of the Directorate of Land and Accommodation (up to 1959) and the Ancient Monuments Inspectorate which were involved in some aspects of the work. Some papers from the Directorate of Home Regional Services are included from 1970 to 1990, as are some United Kingdom Territorial Organisation papers.

Most of the registered files belong to the 7 series that originated in the early 1950s and seem to have continued in use up to 1990. A few files have a PLY prefix which seems to equate to the District Works Office of the South West Region which was based in Plymouth, Devon.
