Medical and surgical journal of His Majesty's convict ship Waterloo for 4 February to 21 July 1829 by Michael Goodsir, Surgeon and Superintendent, during which time the said ship was employed on a voyage to New South Wales.

Folios 2-3: George Parlick, aged 16, convict; case number 2; disease or hurt, pnemonia. Put on sick list, 17 March 1829 at sea. Discharged 20 March 1829.

Folios 3-4: James McMurray, aged 30, private [63rd Regiment?]; case number 3; disease or hurt, pneumonia. Put on sick list, 22 April 1829 at sea. Discharged 28 April 1829 to duty.

Folios 4-6: Samuel Drew, aged 19, convict; case number 1; disease or hurt, phrenitis. Put on sick list, 30 April 1829. Died 6 May 1829.

Folios 7-11: Stephen Rielly, aged 19, convict; case number 4; disease or hurt, pneumonia, phthisis and abscess of thigh. Put on sick list, 6 April 1829. Died 22 June 1829.

Folios 11-14: George Jurdan, aged 25, convict; case number [not stated]; disease or hurt, obstipatio. Put on sick list, 25 June 1829 at sea. Sent to Sydney General hospital on 10 July 1829.

Folio 16: Surgeon's general remarks. The chloride of Lime which I was supplied with I think might be useful in case of any infectious disease occurring on board. The only trial which I could make was in cleaning the necessaries between decks on using it I found it most completely corrected all disagreeable effluvia.
