Description:

Medical and surgical journal of HM male convict ship Parmelia from 18 June to 28 November 1832 by R Allen, surgeon, during which time the said ship was employed in a voyage to New South Wales.

Folios 1-2: Edward Cook, aged 23, private, soldier; case number 1; disease or hurt, febris synocha. Put on sick list, 1 July 1832, at Woolwich. Discharged 23 July 1832 to duty.

Folios 3-5: John Wilson, aged 25, private, soldier; case number 2; disease or hurt, cholera morbus. Put on sick list, 5 July 1832, at Sheerness. Died 2 July 1832.

Folios 5-8: Thomas Jackson, aged 25, drummer; case number 3; disease or hurt, cholera. Put on sick list, 5 July 1832, at Sheerness. Discharged 25 July 1832 cured.

Folios 9-10: Thomas Hopkins, aged 23, convict; case number 4; disease or hurt, cholera. Put on sick list, 7 July 1832, at Sheerness. Died 7 July 1832.
