1 item (enclosed in a despatch dated 3 December 1855 from Commander J C Hoseason) extracted from ADM 1/5658. Finland: Helsinki. Admiralty chart 222[4], with an added MS title reading 'Plan of a combined Naval and Military attack upon Helsingfors and Sveaborg by John Cochrane Hoseason Commander R.N.'. Reference table. Compass roses. Engraved by J & C Walker. Published at the Hydrographic Office, Admiralty, 23 January 1854. Coloured, MS additions show distribution of ships, movements of troops, lines of entrenchments and distances between points. A further reference table to this plan can be found in Hoseason's despatch. |
