Sandal Magna, Yorkshire. Perspective view of Sandal Castle, showing the keep, bailey, buildings and stairway within the outer walls, gatehouse and bridge, ditch and neighbouring trees. Remains of black border. No scale shown. Made to illustrate a survey of northern castles by Sir Ambrose Cave, chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, in 1561.
