2 items extracted from SP 12/160 (item 24, no 3). Plans of part of Carisbrooke Castle, Hampshire, to accompany a survey made by Richard Popinjay on 27 April 1583. (1) Plan of the outer walls of Carisbrooke Castle, showing place for drawbridge. Scale: about 1 inch to 21 feet. (2) Plan of Carisbrooke Castle, showing hall, chapel, porter's lodge, and bridge. Scale: 1 inch to 12 feet. Dimensions of sheets: (1) 28.7 cm x 99.1 cm; (2) 39.4 cm x 55.4 cm, with an overlay, showing the kitchen, 14.5 cm x 19 cm.
