Description: |
1 item extracted from CO 6/8 (folio 185). New Brunswick; Maine. Map showing the true course of the River St Croix in accordance with the Treaty of 1783, with adjacent lands and lakes. Also shows place names, observed positions and acreage. Scale: 1 inch to 4 miles to an inch. Compass indicator. A note on the map describing the true course of the river is dated 25 October 1798. This appears to be a later printed copy, as the dorse of the map is formed by two pages of the 'Star' (L'Etoile) of Quebec of 16 April 1828. Part of a letter on the boundary with the United States of America is printed on one of them. |
