Map showing the extent of French sovereignty in the Maritime Provinces and New England in the seventeenth century and British proposals for a settlement in 1760-1761. Copy by John Adams of a French original, December 1829. Reference table to the boundaries of Nova Scotia and Quebec south of the St Lawrence at various times in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Scale: about 1 inch to 140 miles. Cardinal points. Made to illustrate notes on the boundary line between Quebec and New Brunswick and the United States of America. |
