1 item (enclosure to Governor Hopkins' letter of 17 April 1755) extracted from CO 5/16, folio 82. Rhode Island: Newport. 'A Plan & Profil of the Fortifications now Erecting to defend the Town & Harbour of Newport on Rhode Island March 1755. P. Harrison Inven et Delin'. Scale: plan 1 inch to 22 fathoms (2 chains); profile 1 inch to 11 fathoms (1 chain). A note at the foot reads 'Memorandum. There is now belonging to the Fort 6 Guns, Twenty-four Pounders and 18 Guns Eighteen Pounders'.
