1 item extracted from CO 2/15. West Africa. 'No. 2 Continuation [from MPG 1/314] of the track of African Mission under Captn. Clapperton on board H.M. Ship Brazen, Captn. Willis, from Sierra Leone to Badagry between the 27th of October & 29th Nov. 1825'. The chart continues as far as Cape Lopez, and shows ship's track and place names. There are notes on the chart about the boarding of slave ships on the voyage, about the overland routes followed by slave traders, and about the relations between the various African kingdoms. Scale: 1 inch to about 65 miles. Compass rose. By Robert Pearce, Capt RN; drawn to accompany his report of November 1825. |
