Description:

This series contains minutes and papers of proceedings of various post-war international conferences and of less formal meetings with representatives of foreign governments.

The conferences include meetings of Commonwealth Prime Ministers, of Finance Ministers and various Commonwealth councils committees. Many of the records relate to various constitutional conferences concerning the future of British colonies, for example the Conference on the Federation of Southern Rhodesia, Northern Rhodesia, and Nyasaland 1953, Nigeria Constitution Conference 1953-1954, British Caribbean Federation Conference 1956, and Conferences on British Guiana 1960-1965.

There are also files of UK delegations to Organisation for European Economic Co-operation (OEEC) and the British Washington Committee of the European Recovery Programme and Prime Ministerial visits abroad and visits of foreign dignitaries to London.
