A volume in original binding, with original brass corner pieces and parchment label in brass plate on back cover. (cf. Catalogue of Bindings, 1938 Centenary Exhibition). The C of Compotus on first folio is surmounted by a crown with Henricus Rex Octavus. In this is a shield of the royal arms, supported by an angel. Shield, red, blue and gold; figure, brown, green, pink and blue. On folio 33 the Account of the Office of the Kitchen, there is another illuminated shield and figure subject in the C of Compotus, colours as above, but larger and design different. No crown surmounting the C. On folio 74, in the C of Compotus, is an angel holding a shield with the St Alban's cross as arms.
