Capes & Todd, afterwards (from 1856) `Todd & Smith, Record Keepers': correspondence with hospitals and other charities on bequests in their favour, 1850-1857, with one letter of 1843 to Joseph Todd. (A draft out-letter of 21 Jan. 1856 says: `We are in the habit of forwarding to most of the Charitable Institutions & Societies notices .... whenever there is a bequest to them in Wills proved in our Court'. |
