Description:

This series is made up of deeds held by Chancery which were separated from the main series in C 146 on account of their fine seals.

The series consists of evidences of title, as well as a miscellany of documents virtually unrelated to conveyancing. These include receipts, warrants, acknowledgements, debentures and letters of protection. Many of these documents concern English operations in Scotland in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.
