London, Midland & Scottish Railway. 'L.M.& S.R. England & Wales Engineers Divisions & Districts June 1928': three copies of a diagrammatic map showing the following divisions and districts: Northern Division (Barrow, Lancaster, Leeds, Liverpool, Blackburn, Bradford and Manchester Districts); Western Division (Liverpool, North Wales, Crewe, Walsall and Watford Districts); Eastern Division (Stoke, Derby North, Derby South, Northampton, London Districts). A note states that certain lines in Ireland were administered as part of the North Wales District. Reference table distinguishing London, Midland & Scottish Railway lines and jointly-operated lines. Scale: 1 inch to about 10.4 miles. Compass indicator. Lithographed by Vincent Brooks, Day & Son Ltd. Insets: seven enlarged diagrams showing the environs of the following places: Birmingham, Bradford and Leeds, Derby and Nottingham, Liverpool, Central London, Manchester, Stoke-upon-Trent. Copy number 1 bears the name G H Hunt stamped on the endpapers, with ; copy number bears the name G L Darbyshire inscribed inside the cover. Notes in pencil on the endpapers state that copy 1 was to be treated as the 'original' and the other copies as duplicates.
